Qatar now processes all visas through the Hayya website, which was previously used to register fans for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
To apply for a visa to Qatar, the Hayya website will need to upload documents and pay a fee, according to the Gulf Times.
Travelers will have access to three new types of e-visa A1, A2 and A3.The first category includes nationals of countries that do not have the right to obtain a visa on arrival or who are not allowed to enter Qatar without a visa.
The second category is for residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.The third category is for citizens with a visa or residence permit in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Schengen countries.
Visa processing through this platform takes up to 48 hours.
