In 2024, Qatar Airways regained the title of the best airline on the planet, surpassing last year's leader Singapore Airlines. The results of the prestigious World Airline Awards ranking, which has been compiled annually by the British company Skytrax since 1999, were announced yesterday in the British capital.
Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted highlighted the outstanding achievement of Qatar Airways, which is receiving this honor for the eighth time. By comparison, Singapore Airlines has won the title five times.
The Skytrax rating is based on passenger reviews. This year, more than 21 million travelers from 100 countries expressed their opinions, assessing the performance of over 340 airlines. The top ten also included Emirates, ANA All Nippon, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, EVA Air, Air France and Swiss International Airlines.
