During today's meeting between the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Turkey Muhammetnur Ovezov and the Governor of Istanbul Davud Gul, issues of establishing sister city ties between the municipalities of the two countries, as well as prospects for cooperation between the cities of Arkadag and Istanbul were discussed.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a separate topic of discussion was the holding of cultural events aimed at supporting the Turkmen diaspora in Istanbul.
During the conversation, it was noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to youth issues and provides all possible support for strengthening their role in the development of the state. In this context, M. Ovezov spoke about the book of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Youth is the support of the Motherland.”
The parties also exchanged views on a joint plan of events for 2024, declared in Turkmenistan the year of “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi.”
