Prime Minister of Georgia arrives in Turkmenistan

In the evening of 29 August Prime Minister of Georgia Georgi Kvirikashvili arrived in Ashgabat with an official visit.

On Wednesday, 30 August, the head of Georgia’s government met with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov.The Georgian media outlet “Sputnik” reports that the negotiations with the Mejlis Chairperson Akdja Nurberdyeva are scheduled to be held.

According to the news outlet, the transport cooperation agreement is expected to be signed in the course of the visit.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance Dmitry Kumsishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Georgi Gakharia, Minister of Energy Iliya Eloshvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Zurab Alavidze, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Jalagania as well as Prime Minister’s aides Tedo Jeparidze and Gogi Vashakmadze.
