“Chronicles of Turkmenistan” continues to monitor price fluctuations for pharmaceuticals in Turkmenistan.
Over the past three months prices for medications saw an average increase of 10%. The price hike for medications is noticeable at the check-out when customers return some pharmaceuticals as they cannot afford to pay the bill.
If a doctor prescribes an expensive medication, patients try to find an affordable generic. Many healthcare practitioners find out a patient’s financial situation in advance to take it into account when making a prescription.
