Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan discussed topical issues of bilateral agenda and regional interaction during the personal meeting in Ashkhabad on April 29.
With satisfaction it was pointed out that despite the difficult period of the pandemic a positive dynamics of development of Uzbek -Turkmen relations at all levels is provided.Thanks to joint efforts during the recent years the goods turnover has grown by more than three times, having reached following the results of last year 530 million dollars.
Over 150 joint ventures have been created.
At the same time the attention to necessity of full use of available potential in trade area, investments, industrial cooperation, first of all in transport, energy , mechanical engineering, light and food-processing industry, rural and water management was paid.
Readiness was expressed further to advance the Ashkhabad agreement on creation of the international transport and transit corridor, and also to provide effective loading of multimodal route China Central Asia Southern Caucasus Turkey and to continue interaction on development of transport -logistical infrastructure.
Mirziyoyev expressed the head of Turkmenistan a special gratitude for his initiative on creation in Ashkhabad of the park “Tashkent” which becomes one brighter symbol of brotherly relations between our countries, as informs the website of the president of Uzbekistan.
On completion of the meeting the joint motorcade of presidents went to the Main mosque of the country located in Kypchak, as informs the website Turkmenistan today.
Heads of the states took part in the iftar in memory of father of the leader of Turkmenistan Malikguly Berdimuhamedov. In the funeral repast muftis of two countries, elders and religious figures also participated.
With this the working visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was completed. At the international airport of Ashkhabad President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov saw off the Uzbek leader.
