President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to the people of the country on the occasion of the celebration of Novruz Bayram.
In his message, the head of state wished the Turkmen people peace, health, longevity, prosperity and good luck in all endeavors.The President of Turkmenistan also noted the importance of Novruz Bayram holiday in the context of the cultural code of the peoples of the East and Central Asia, mentioning the role of the spring holiday in the work of such famous Eastern and Turkmen poets as Abu Reihan Biruni, Omar Khayyam, Alisher Navoi, Dovletmammet Azadi, Magtymguly Fragi, Nurmuhammed Andalib and others.
According to the Turkmen leader, the importance of Novruz Bayram for world culture is evidenced by the fact that March 21 was proclaimed the “International Novruz Day” by a special Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, and the holiday itself was added to the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.
