President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met in Ashgabat on Friday with the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Armenia, who presented their credentials to the head of state, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov conveyed warm greetings from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and expressed the high honor of representing his country in Turkmenistan.He emphasized the bonds of friendship and shared cultural and historical values between the two nations and expressed confidence in further strengthening bilateral relations.
The diplomat congratulated Turkmenistan on the 29th anniversary of its permanent neutrality status and wished the country peace and prosperity.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked the diplomat for his kind words, conveyed reciprocal wishes to the Uzbek leader, and emphasized that Turkmenistan highly values its cooperation with Uzbekistan. The president noted the importance of deepening bilateral dialogue, including trade, economic, energy, and humanitarian interactions.
During the conversation, the parties highlighted the activation of Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation in various fields, emphasizing the high level of partnership based on mutual respect and trust.
The meeting with Armenian Ambassador Arsen Avagyan included congratulations to the President of Turkmenistan on the anniversary of neutrality, along with greetings from President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Arsen Avagyan stated that relations between Armenia and Turkmenistan have reached a qualitatively new level and expressed readiness to support their further development.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of expanding partnership with Armenia in the fields of trade, transportation, energy, and culture. The parties acknowledged the broad potential for enhancing cooperation and highlighted the importance of experience exchange and the implementation of joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, the diplomats assured the President of Turkmenistan of their commitment to strengthening friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation, wishing the country new successes and prosperity.
