President of Turkmenistan Offers Condolences After Armed Attack in Dagestan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has extended his heartfelt condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin following the tragic armed attacks in the cities of Makhachkala and Derbent in the Republic of Dagestan, which resulted in casualties and injuries, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Monday.

"Resolutely opposing all forms of terrorism and extremism, Turkmenistan fully supports the efforts of the international community in combating and eradicating this evil," the message stated.

On behalf of the people and Government of Turkmenistan, as well as personally, the Head of State expressed deep sympathy and support to the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

According to TASS, the attacks claimed the lives of 15 law enforcement officers and 4 civilians, including a priest, and left 26 people injured.
