President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council Eric Stewart, President for Strategic Cooperation in Central Asia of John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co. KG Csaba Lejko and the head of Westport Trading Europe Nikolay Yurchenko, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the Turkmen-American Business Forum, TDH reports.
During the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the contribution of American companies to the realization of the economic potential of both countries.
As was emphasized, for many years such large companies as Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, Case New Holland, Nicklaus Companies, Westport Trading Europe Limited have been implementing important projects in Turkmenistan. In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction the significant contribution of the successfully operating Turkmen-American Business Council to the intensification of productive cooperation.
Over the past years, this Council has become an effective tool for establishing, developing and strengthening contacts between the economic structures of the two states.
During the conversation, the oil and gas industry, electric power, renewable energy, transport and communications, agriculture and high technology were identified as the most promising areas of cooperation.
The head of state confirmed Turkmenistan's interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with American companies and its readiness to consider their specific proposals.
