President of Turkmenistan Launches Greening Program

With the participation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a nationwide greening program was launched on Saturday, as reported by Turkmenistan's official media.

The President of Turkmenistan took part in a nationwide tree-planting campaign in the southern part of the city of Ashgabat, along with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

According to the report, Turkmenistan is implementing programs for environmental protection, sustainable use of natural resources, and the development of a green economy.

On March 1 of this year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution to hold a nationwide greening campaign on March 16, 2024.The document aims to transform the country into a blooming garden, create forested areas, ensure proper care for planted tree seedlings, and fulfill the Presidential Resolution No. 867 of February 9, 2024, "On Tree Planting in Turkmenistan in 2024."
