President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received an invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit the UAE.
The invitation was conveyed to the Head of Turkmenistan by Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE Suhail Al-Mazroui in a meeting in Ashgabat on Wednesday, the official Turkmen media reports.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation, including strengthening relations in the energy sector. In this regard, the Emirati official stated that the UAE business circles are very interested in the large-scale transformation programs and infrastructure projects in Turkmenistan.
The guest reaffirmed the Emirati businesses’ desire for long-term partnership with Turkmenistan and participation in promising new projects.
During his visit, Suhail Al-Mazroui also met with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. During the talks, the two sides stated the importance of green economy and exchanged views on the use of sustainable energy, the promotion of innovative technologies and expertise in these areas.
