To continue improving the level of social and economic development of the northern region of Turkmenistan, radically increasing the quality of life of the population this task was set before the relevant leaders by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a visiting Government meeting held in Dashoguz today, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
As Deputy Prime Minister Mukhammetguly Mukhammedov reported, within the framework of the seven-year Presidential Program in the northern region, modernization of the gas, chemical, energy sectors, light and construction materials industries is envisaged by attracting large investments in all areas of the industrial complex, the introduction of innovative and digital technologies into the economy, and the diversification of the processing industry.
Among the priorities are the effective use of the potential of the transport and logistics system, increasing the volume of transit and multimodal cargo transportation, the development of agriculture and related industries, animal husbandry through improving the management of agricultural land funds in the territory of the Region and the introduction of watersaving technologies, work on expanding acreage, as well as the growth of food production.
The draft Program of the President of Turkmenistan on the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, districts and district centers for the period up to 2027 in Dashoguz Region provides for the construction of new facilities and structures.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to keep in the focus of constant attention the targeted use of investments for the current year and the progress of construction of new production complexes, the head of state continued.
