The corresponding decree was signed based on the results of the prosecutor's check at an extended meeting of the State Security Council held today, the Vatan news program of the Turkmen television reported.
Nuryev Yazgeldi Byashimovich, who previously held the post of rector of the Institute of National Security of Turkmenistan, was appointed the new head of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan - the commander of the Border Troops.
By another presidential decree, Lieutenant Colonel Yazgeldi Nuryev was awarded the early military rank of Colonel.
