President of Turkmenistan Attends BRICS Summit in Kazan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has arrived in Kazan to attend the 16th BRICS Summit, which is being held under the theme “Strengthening Multilateralism for Fair Global Development and Security.”

According to official Turkmen media, the Turkmen leader was welcomed by Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.

The main events of the summit, scheduled for October 23-24, will include meetings in both narrow and expanded formats. Discussions will focus on international cooperation, regional conflicts, economic partnerships, and alternative tools for international transactions.

BRICS was founded in 2006 and includes Russia, Brazil, India, China, and South Africa. This year, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia have joined the bloc.
