On 9 March President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov held a Cabinet session where preparations for the official visit of Turkmenistan’s President to Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates, which is scheduled to be held shortly, was on the agenda.
“The head of the state emphasized the importance of forthcoming negotiations, designed to determine key areas of mutually beneficial cooperation with Kuwait and UAE on a long-term basis”, the state information agency TDH reports.
The Minister of Foreign Ministry Rashid Meredov was charged with the task of preparing and ensuring top organizational level of the visits.
Let us recall that on 20 December President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov met with the UAE delegation headed by Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
At that time, according to TDH, “Arab investors showed interest in the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline project”.
On 11 January the meeting between Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Berdyniyaz Myatiyev, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, was held in the United Arab Emirates.
