Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdyniyaz Myatiev held online meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates Abdulnasser Jamal Al Shaali.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the high level of relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE. It was expressed the mutual interest in expanding the legal framework for cooperation, including improving consular services. The diplomats discussed interaction along the political and diplomatic line, as well as partnership within the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to cooperation to address modern challenges, in particular, the COVID-19 pandemic. In this regard, the importance of maintaining contacts between the relevant ministries and departments of the two countries was emphasized.
One of the main topics of discussion was the preparations for the third meeting of the Joint Committee on Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates.In this aspect, mutual interest is expressed in the progressive development of cooperation, in particular, in the areas of trade, investment, oil and gas sector, energy, construction, agriculture, environmental, food security, education, science and culture.
