Positive, spontaneity and good faith in the gift of children for the holiday of neutrality

The gallery of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan has welcomed unusual guests boys and girls, who are young talents from the Children’s Art School named after Byashim Nurali and other Ashgabat art schools.

The children took part in an exhibition timed to the 25th anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan held in the Expo Center of the higher art school of the country. Young artists were the authors of more than 130 works on various types of fine arts: painting, sculpture, Gobelin tapestry, jewelry, and ceramics.

Nuryagdy Yagshimuradov, Pro-rector of the Academy, addressed a welcoming speech to the young artists, having wished them to have a great patience and diligence, as tireless hard work is the sister of talent.

A well-known art critic, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Azat Annayev from a professional point of view appreciated and praised the children for their ability to sincerely convey their feelings, for the joy and positive that their works share. Paintings by Govher Sheripova “Still Life” and by Govher Ovezova “Turkmen Beauty” were of special attention, according to him.

“The girls are perfect to deal with colors, their works are richly bright, whilethe colors are in harmony with each other. For such young authors, this is already a significant achievement.”

Among the works of folk applied art, he especially praised the Gobelin tapestry “Avaza” by Jamilya Djuguliyeva. “The warm tones of the red sunset sky in contrasting combination with the cold blue-violet colors of the sea waves create a tense, one might say even dramatic perception,” said the expert.

The young artists had a divers approach to the theme of the neutrality anniversary. And yet, many of the works captured the moment of celebration. The most successful among them are the sculptures “The Musician” by Nuran Berdiliyev and “The Dancer” by Imamberdi Saparov that excitedly convey the expression of the performance.

Among the paintings, there is a painting “Dance” by Vashan Durdiyev, made in gouache and watercolors, where a group of women dance in bright picturesque shawls. The colorful work “Turkmenskiy Toy” by Dayanch Orazmuhammedov conveys the atmosphere of a rural celebration, where you can catch the smell of delicious pilav, hear the funny music sounds, and see the way the guests are greeted with oriental hospitality.

“At this exhibition, the works were not awarded prizes, Guljamilya Amanova, Director of the Children’s Art School named after Byashim Nurali, comments. “But the presentation of works in the gallery of the Academy of Arts is already a great event for the formation of young artists.

Children voluntarily and involuntarily compare the level of their work and the work of their peers from other schools, and it is great when they have ambitious desire to make something new even more interesting and brighter.”
