The summer of last year 95 years became for the date of creation of the Central all-Union information body Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union (TASS), authorised to announce the most important events in the country and abroad.

Today in TASS works about two thousand employees worldwide, it co-operates with more than 60 news agencies of the world, including with the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

On February 1, this year the 95th anniversary was marked also by the TASS photo chronicle.According to the agency, now edition of the photo information of TASS lets out over 600 exclusive report pictures and news video data a day and has one of the photo banks unique and largest in the CIS: in it 30 million photos from the beginning of the 20th century and contains up to now almost.

At the end of December, 2018 TASS for the first time started a line of video news.In the centre of attention of service illumination of basic news events in the country and the world, activity of the president and the government of the Russian Federation, authorities in places, information support of realisation of national projects, shootings of key events in the politician, economy, culture, sports and public life of the country, and also emergencies.

In 2020 TASS as the first of representatives of the Russian media market joined Reuters Connect a platform of multimedia digital-content which provides to the subscribers access more than to 25 million news, video topics and the photos collected in one place.

On the platform all formats of materials from urgent news to raw videos in format RAW and the virus content given by users are accessible. Clients among whom the largest television companies, publishing houses, corporations and the governmental organisations, can choose the necessary content and pay it by points by means of service Reuters Points.

This sign event for TASS has made accessible information products of agency for clients Reuters worldwide. And the choice of TASS as partner Reuters once again underlined reputation of the Russian agency as source of exclusively trustworthy information.

In the joint statement of TASS and Reuters it was said that cooperation with the Russian agency will open for clients Reuters Connect exclusive access to urgent news and a unique video content from the Kremlin, to plots about work of the president of Russia Vladimir Putin and the first persons of the country, to video clips and reportings of correspondents of TASS.
