Plane with the country’s vice president on board goes missing in Malawi

The plane with Malawi Vice President Saulos Claus Chilima on board disappeared from radar screens and is believed to have crashed. The BBC reports this.

It is clarified that in addition to the Vice President of Malawi, there are nine more people on the plane.The aircraft took off from the capital Lilongwe and was due to fly to Mzuzu airport in the north of the country at around 10am local time.

However, contact with the plane’s crew was lost almost immediately after takeoff.

The plane never showed up at Mzuzu airport. So far it has not been possible to establish contact with the plane that disappeared from the radar.
