On May 17-18, Turkmenistan will host the International Conference of Ministers of Culture dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.
The program of the conference promises to be full, taking into account the fact that on the evening of May 17, in the south of Ashgabat, the grand opening of the cultural-park complex “Magtymguly Fragi” and the monument of the poet with a height of 60 meters will be held.
Conference participants will visit this event, during which a light show, fireworks, concert performances and other festive events are planned.
The next day, May 18, the work of the conference will continue sectorally: in the library and museum of the State Cultural Center, as well as in the Turkmen State Institute of Culture. The topic of discussions in the sections is the life and creativity of Magtymguly Fragi, the poet's contribution to world literature and culture.
At the end of the forum, the guests of the Turkmen capital will visit the National Museum of Turkmen carpets and the city of Arkadag, where they will see the performance of the National Equestrian Games Group “Galkynysh”.
The evening of the conference will be decorated with a concert by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan conducted by Rasul Klychev in the Mukamov Palace.
