Parahat Orazliyev is a gold winner of international circus festival

The collection of the museum of Turkmen State Circus was supplemented with the award of International Festival of Circus Art “Echo of Asia” which was held in Astana on July 2 6, under the EXPO 2017.

Turkmen air gymnast Parahat Orazliyev was a winner in “belt” category, having left behind the circus artists from Monaco, China, Egypt, Russia, Belarus, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

For his outstanding show, he was awarded with Gold Cup with engraved signed “For High Performance Skills and Professionalism” and special prize from Belarusian State Circus.

Our correspondent t met Parahat to congratulate him on his bright victory and to hear the impression of the participation in the festival.

- It was incredibly spectacular show, - Parahat says.Astana Circus accommodates two thousand visitors.The arena was decorated with fountains and each performance was accompanied by effective lighting refracted in water spurts.

I tried concentrated myself to the maximum before entering the stage as the best gymnasts from 11 countries were competing in my nomination.It was my first international experience and our Stage Director Pygy Bayramdurduyev and Circus Director Annamuhammed Ilamanov, who participated in the jury represented by 15 countries, helped me out to get the mood for success.

New composition of Serdar Haydarov was used as musical accompaniment of the performance. One can hear the sounds of gopuz in it. The support of the audience helped me to perform my number in one go. It was accompanied by “Bravo!” exclamations.

- What makes your decision to become a circus artist?

- First of all, this is love to this spectacular art.I am a Master of Sports in artistic gymnastics and came to the circus with acrobatic numbers.

When I was a boy, I combined the sports with dances and performed for ten years in the ensemble of People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Jemal Saparova.Children tenacity and commitment helped me to combine the work in circus with study at Turkmen State Cultural Institute.

I graduated stage and circus games faculty.

- Why did you change your role of acrobat to air gymnast?

- I like both dances and acrobatics but I wanted to improve myself and I have chosen the air gymnastics.Pygy Bayramdurdiyev taught me with basic elements and helped me to become the professional in this circus art.

His profession is fancy horse rider but he is a versatile circus artist.We managed to set up the performance for six months.Many people spend years for this that is why my success entirely belongs to my mentor.

I am pleased that I glorified the Motherland in this breath-taking art.This is our joint victory as I am surrounded by people of the same mind, talented and keen, high professionals and creatively thinking individuals.

- What are your plans for the future?

- I’m planning to develop myself as a circus artist. Communication with the colleagues from other countries gives number of opportunities for creative growth. I opened many new things for myself in the technique of air gymnastics. I will master complex and original elements to make spectators happy with effective performance.
