The premier of the opera “Ruhubelentler” (“The Inspired”) was held in the Ashgabat Drama Theatre named after Magtymguly.The stage production is devoted to the V Asian Games scheduled to be held in September 2017.
“When the idea of the stage production was proposed, the question arose whether such things as sports and opera were compatible. There are such examples in the world practice”, “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” quotes the author of libretto Govshutgeldy Danatarov.
According to the media outlet, “the audience thanked the authors of the production, which opened a new page in the history of the national opera with endless rounds of applause and bouquets of flowers”.
Let us recall that 2017 was declared “the Year of health and inspiration” in Turkmenistan. The Asian Games will be held under the slogan “Health. Inspiration. Friendship”.
