OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo dies

The Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, died on July 6 at the age of 63, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the head of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari.

It should be noted that Mohammad Barkindo was a regular participant in the International “Oil and Gas Forum of Turkmenistan”. The OPEC Secretary General has repeatedly stated the readiness of the Organization to continue working to expand and strengthen relations with Turkmenistan on issues of sustainable stability in the international oil market.
