OPEC Confirms Its Participation in Turkmen Oil and Gas Conference

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has officially confirmed its participation in the 28th International Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2023" (OGT-2023), scheduled to take place from October 25 to 27 in Ashgabat, Trend news agency reported on Saturday.

The OPEC will be represented at the event by the head of the Organization's Petroleum Studies Department - Behrooz Baikalizadeh, according to the report.

Apart from OPEC, several other companies including Dragon Oil, CNPC, Petronas, William Johnson International Trade and Services FZCO, and KAMAZ have announced their intention to participate. Currently, the overall count of organizations that have confirmed their participation is nearing one hundred.

The event is organized by Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas), Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concerns, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Türkmengeologiýa (Turkmen Geology) State Corporation in partnership with Turkmen Forum with the support of the British company GaffneyCline.

The conference and exhibition within its framework are expected to bring together a record number of executives of leading international energy companies, international organizations, and leading global financial institutions to share experiences and discuss regional and global trends that affect the development of the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan.
