Oncology hospitals to be built in three regions of Turkmenistan

Oncology hospitals will be built in the Balkan, Lebap and Mary regions of Turkmenistan. The corresponding resolution on financing this construction was signed by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the Government meeting held on October 4.

The document instructs the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs, on behalf of the Government of Turkmenistan, to conclude contracts with the Islamic Development Bank to finance projects for the construction of oncology hospitals in the Balkan and Lebap regions for 150 beds each, as well as a contract with the Saudi Development Bank to finance a project for the construction of an oncology hospital in the Mary region for 200 beds.

The document was signed in order to successfully implement the State Program “Saglyk” (“Health”) and provide the population with high-quality preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic care, TDH reports.
