Oncology centers to be built in three regions of Turkmenistan

According to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen delegation was on a business trip to Washington (USA) from October 22 to 26 to participate in the annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, as well as related events.

During the visit, representatives of the Turkmen financial and banking sector held bilateral talks with foreign partners. According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will allocate 156.3 million US dollars for the construction of three specialized hospitals for the treatment of cancer in Turkmenistan. The corresponding decision was approved by the bank.

It is noted that new modern medical institutions will be built in the cities of Balkanabat, Turkmenabat and Mary and will be able to receive more than 11,750 patients.

The agreement on this project was signed during a meeting between the head of the IDB Mohammed Al Jasser and the chairman of the board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Turkmenistan Rahymberdi Jepbarov.
