The Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan has established standards and procedures for carrying out work on forest restoration and planting in the country. The contents of the document are published on the legal information portal of the Ministry of Justice.
The basic concepts in the field of forestry are presented in order, and the general principles and methods of forest planting are defined, taking into account the climatic conditions of Turkmenistan.
Criteria for assessing the effectiveness of planting and survival of seedlings have been established. Thus, it is considered normal to root at least 75% of plantings on irrigated lands and at least 45% in the mountains and foothills.
The document was agreed upon with the Main State Service “Turkmenstandartlary” and registered with the Ministry of Justice on January 26, 2024.
