Neymar faces up to 5 years in prison on corruption charges

In October of this year, the Brazilian striker Neymar will appear in court on a corruption case, reports sports.ru, with reference to El Pais.

The lawsuit against the “PSG” footballer was filed by DIS, which owned 40% of the rights to the player in 2009 during his performances for “Santos”.

According to representatives of the company, when Neymar moved to “Barcelona” from the Brazilian club, they did not receive the full amount due to them.

DIS, along with Brazilian prosecutors, believe that when Neymar moved to “Barcelona”, the player and his father signed two fictitious contracts with the club.

Although the prosecutor's office is demanding that Neymar be sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of 10 million euros, DIS insists that the footballer must be imprisoned for 5 years, banned from playing football for the same period, and also recover 150 million euros from him in as a penalty.
