New specialties have been introduced in postgraduate and doctoral courses operating in Turkmenistan.
This was stated by the Director of the Postgraduate Department of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Gulalek Annanepesova in an interview with the newspaper “Turkmenistan”.
In particular, in 2021 in the doctoral program of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan were introduced specialties “History of international relations and foreign policy”, in postgraduate studies “World Economy”, “Political problems of international relations, global and regional development”, “Journalism”.
The doctoral studies of the National Institute of Language, Literature and Manuscripts named after the Mahtymguly Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan were also included in the specialties “Historiography”, “Methods and sources of studying history”, and “Radiophysics” specialty in the postgraduate course of the Engineering and Technological University of Turkmenistan named after Oguz Han.
The number of postgraduate courses has increased, and last year there were 67 graduate students in Turkmenistan, and this year their number will reach 105.
