A new residential complex under construction along the highway leading to the Turkmenabat International Airport in the administrative center of Lebap province will be able to house 1,280 families.
The complex, the construction of which started in 2019, will be commissioned before the 31st anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, which will be celebrated on September 27 this year, the country’s local state newspaper reported on Thursday. It includes 40 four-storey residential buildings with 32 apartments each.
The construction contractors of the new complex are the Lebapgurluşyk (Lebap Construction) Production Association, the Demirbetonönümleri and Demirbetonkonstruksiýa enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan, and the Şähergurluşyk we Hyzmat state enterprise under the city administration.
A number of private Turkmen companies, including Zehinli Ussa, Jöwher Gala, Ýyndam Gurluşyk, Dowamly Nyşan, Asuda Nesil and Saldamly Goşant are also participating in the construction of the buildings.
In addition to the apartment buildings, the city will also see the commission of 100 cottages.
In October last year, the residential complex covering 23 hectares and consisting of 17 four-storey residential buildings and 70 two-storey cottages was commissioned along the highway leading to the Turkmenabat International Airport.
