On Thursday, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia A. Khvtisiashvili.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible position, the Deputy Minister expressed the readiness of the Georgian side to provide assistance and support in his activities for the further development of bilateral relations.
The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries, as well as on issues of organizing high-level mutual visits.
The further development and strengthening of the Turkmen-Georgian cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres was also considered.
Ambassador D. Seyitmammedov assured that he would make every effort to strengthen relations between Turkmenistan and Georgia.
Let us remind, the President of Turkmenistan appointed D. Seyitmammedov to the post of Ambassador to Georgia on August 11. In this post, he replaced Dovletmyrat Muratov, who, according to the presidential decree, was transferred to another job.
