New Ambassador of Panama started work in Turkmenistan

On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova accepted credentials from Ambassador of the Republic of Panama Rolando Enrique Barrow Noad, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

During the conversation, Gulmanova informed the Ambassador of Panama in detail about the main directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, an important place in which is given to the expansion of fruitful ties with all interested countries, including the states of Latin America.

Much attention was also paid to the implementation of large-scale socio-economic programs and investment projects initiated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, aimed at the steady growth of the well-being of Turkmen people.

The Ambassador of Panama was also familiarized with the structure and multilateral activities of the Mejlis, primarily as part of the ongoing comprehensive modernization of the country's legal framework.

Among the promising areas of cooperation are the areas of transport, shipping, and tourism.

The countries' interest in intensifying interstate dialogue within the framework of authoritative international organizations was especially noted.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador of Panama Rolando Enrique Barrow Noada assured that he would use all his experience and knowledge to build up bilateral cooperation and further progressively deepen traditionally friendly ties based on trust and mutual respect.
