Netflix has acquired a documentary about Norwegian gamer Mats Steen, who, despite a serious illness, found love and support in the gaming community, reports daily.afisha.ru with reference to Deadline.

The film “Ibelin” tells the story of the life and death of Mats Stine, who suffered from Duchenne muscular dystrophy since childhood.This disease progresses and leads to a gradual loss of motor functions.

Mats was confined to a wheelchair, but found solace in computer games.He became a famous World of Warcraft player and made many friends around the world.

People from different European countries came to Mats' funeral. Mats's parents were surprised to see how many people came to say goodbye to their son. They realized that Mats was not alone, as they thought.

The film's release date on Netflix has not yet been announced.
