The negotiations between Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, and Berdyniyaz Myatiev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan were held on Monday in Abu-Dhabi, the UAE capital.
According to the Arabic news outlet Emirates News Agency, Al Jarman expressed interest in further development of intergovernmental ties.
Berdyniyaz Myatiev in his turn said UAE-Turkmenistan ties enjoy special attention from Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov. Moreover, according to the diplomat the head of the state lauded the UAE’s political and social development model, which turned it into an important regional trade hub and an attractive investment destination for international companies.
The sides also discussed regional and international efforts to counter terrorism.
