Mutual trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Türkiye is planned to increase to 5 billion USD

During the negotiations, Turkmenistan and Türkiye plan to discuss increasing mutual trade turnover to 5 billion USD. Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz said this during a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdayev in Ankara, reports news agency Anadolu.

To achieve this goal, it is necessary to quickly implement measures to stimulate trade, Yilmaz noted. He emphasized that regular meetings of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Economic Commission will help increase cooperation.

The Vice President of Türkiye also expressed the opinion that the upcoming Turkmen-Turkish business forum in Ankara will provide a good opportunity for businessmen and investors to meet and focus on the prospects of joint projects.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdayev emphasized that Türkiye is an important trading partner of Turkmenistan. He noted the successful work of Turkish companies in Turkmenistan in the implementation of large construction projects.

At present time, the delegation of Turkmenistan led by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is in Türkiye. On October 26, negotiations between the head of the Turkmen state and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan are planned.
