Muhadov's goal brought “Abdysh-Ata” to the semi-finals of the Kyrgyzstan Football Cup

On June 19, in the quarterfinal match of the 2024 Kyrgyz Republic Football Cup, “Abdysh-Ata” beat “Alga” with a score of 2:0. The meeting was held in Kant at the “Nitro Arena” stadium, writes Sport.kg.

In the 40th minute, ex-forward of the Turkmenistan national team Suleyman Muhadov opened the scoring, beating “Alga” goalkeeper Amirov in close combat. And in stoppage time, Erbol Abduzhaparov doubled “Abdysh-Ata's” lead, shooting accurately from the penalty line.

The final score of 2:0 allowed “Abdysh-Ata” to reach the semi-finals, where it will meet the winner of the “Talent” “Dordoi” pair.

Turkmenistan national team midfielder Teymur Charyev also plays for “Abdysh-Ata”. In the upcoming 2024/25 season, the current champion of Kyrgyzstan will take part in the qualifications of the AFC Challenge League.

On August 13, “Abdysh-Ata” will play against the Afghan champion Attack Energy in the preliminary round. The winner of this match will advance to the group stage of the third most important club tournament in Asia.

Previously, 5 clubs from Turkmenistan were licensed by the AFC and received the right to participate in international tournaments in the 2024/2025 season. “Arkadag” will play in the group stage of the AFC Challenge League, and “Altyn Asyr” will play in the qualification of the AFC-2 Champions League.
