Monument to Yuri Gagarin to be erected in Ashgabat

The monument to the first cosmonaut of the Earth, Hero of the Soviet Union Yuri Gagarin will appear on the territory of the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat in April. This was reported on the website of the diplomatic mission.

The bronze bust was made by the famous sculptor Alexey Leonov. It was donated to the embassy by the international charitable public foundation “Dialogue of Cultures - One World”, which since 2011 has been working on installing sculptures dedicated to Yuri Gagarin in dozens of countries around the world.
