Turkmen company Uly Höwes exports 80-100 tons of its greenhouse tomatoes to Russia every month, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan reported on Friday.
The company’s greenhouse is located in the Shabat district of the country’s northern province Dashoguz on a 3-hectare plot allocated by the state on a long-term basis. About 40 specialists work in the greenhouse.
The greenhouse is equipped with advanced European technologies. Today, the company grows tomatoes of Altess variety.
Last year, Turkmenistan exported 104 thousand tons of tomatoes to the foreign countries. During the period Turkmenistan was among the four largest suppliers of tomatoes to Russia, and was the main supplier of these products to Tajikistan.
