“Monkey Man”: Dev Patel makes directorial debut with vigilante action film

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for the action thriller “Monkey Man”, the directorial debut of actor Dev Patel. Film.ru reports this.

In the trailer, a mysterious gorilla-masked fighter known as Monkey Man battles crime lords and corrupt politicians in the slums of Mumbai. It seems that Monkey Man intends to take revenge for his family, who were killed by these people.

One of the roles in the film was played by Sharlto Copley (“District № 9”). Produced by Jordan Peele (“Get Out”). Release in US theaters is scheduled for April 5.
