Miller and Berdimuhamedov discussed energy cooperation in Ashgabat

Today, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller in Ashgabat, writes TASS.

“Alexei Miller and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov considered issues of energy cooperation”, says the report.

It was noted that the head of “Gazprom” also met with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Both meetings were held within the framework of the working visit of the “Gazprom” delegation to Turkmenistan.

Let us add that the representative office of “Gazprom” has been operating in Turkmenistan since 2003.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the intention of the “Gazprom” leadership to visit Turkmenistan. The Russian leader noted that “in the traditional areas of energy cooperation, Moscow and Ashgabat have agreements to continue a number of contracts”, reports TASS.
