Metrologists of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan exchanged experience and signed a cooperation plan

In Ashgabat, an exchange of experience was held between specialists from the State Reference Center of Turkmenistan and the delegation of the State Enterprise “Uzbek National Institute of Metrology”, Vestiabad.ru reports.

The meeting was held within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the institutions signed in 2021.

According to the head of the department of scientific and methodological marketing and study of international practice of the State Reference Center of Turkmenistan, Aina Soyunova, Uzbek colleagues presented their activities on the implementation of calibration services and a quality management system in accordance with ISO 17025:2017.

The Turkmen side advised the guests on the development of metrological infrastructure and legislation in this area.

The delegation was particularly interested in the standard for the production of standard samples of grain moisture used when receiving products.At the end of the visit, the parties signed a Work Plan for joint activities on scientific and technical cooperation in the field of metrology for 2024, including comparisons and calibrations, publications, as well as promotion of trade and industrial cooperation.
