On 17 August, 2020 the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation reported that since July 2020 Russia has exported medical supplies worth over $7,8 million to Turkmenistan.
These medical supplies include pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and PPEs.
According to the report, “the medical supplies were primarily supplied from Tatarstan-based companies, including АО “Tatkhimpharmpreparaty”, GUP “Tattechmedpharm”, OOO “PharmMedPolis RT” as well as ZAO “PharmFirma “Sotex” (Moscow), which exported medications worth $571 thousand and AO Corporation “Roskhimzashchita” (Tambov region), which sent 30,000 sets of PPEs”.

It was reported in late June that central streets of Turkmenabat and the streets adjacent to them were disinfected with the solution manufactured in Tatarstan.
In February 2020 it was announced that Turkmenistan intended to purchase Kazan-made medical helicopters “Ansat”.
