In accordance with the press service of the Tashkent administration, in the capital of Turkmenistan, the mayor of Tashkent held talks with the hyakim of Ashgabat Yaztagan Gylyjov. During the meeting, the heads of the capital's administrations exchanged views on the development and strengthening of bilateral relations.
The hyakim of Ashgabat also familiarized his Uzbek counterpart with the project of the “Tashkent” park, which is planned to be built in the capital of Turkmenistan. According to Y. Gylyjov, the “Tashkent” park will be built in the historical center of Ashgabat and will occupy an area of three hectares.

The head of Turkmenistan recalled that the opening in the city of Tashkent of a street and alley named after the Turkmen poet, philosopher and classic of literature Mahtumkuli Fragh, a bas-relief with his image, as well as the Ashgabat park serve as a vivid symbol of friendship, unity and cultural closeness of peoples.
In turn, there is Alisher Navoi Street in Ashgabat, a monument to which is also installed on the Alley of Inspiration in the capital.
Later, in his message to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Uzbek companies to take part in a tender for the construction of the “Tashkent” park in Ashgabat.
