TASS reports that during the press conference to summarize the results of the meeting between the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko and Chairperson of Turkmenistan’s Mejlis (Parliament) Akdja Nurberdyeva, Matvienko stated that Turkmenistan’s experience in the state youth policy might be of interest to and in demand in Russia.
“Needless to say, we are sharing our best practices. My distinguished colleagues said how much is being done for the youth in Turkmenistan to promote a healthy lifestyle. There is almost no drug addiction problem among the youth or any other negative phenomena”, — the speaker said.
According to her, “Turkmenistan is developing its infrastructure and building new schools, medical facilities and housing for young families. “This is a useful experience for Russia which would be happy to consider and implement in the Russian Federation”, — Matvienko added.
