Marketplace “Ozon” plans to enter the market of Turkmenistan

The Russian company “Ozon”, one of the largest marketplaces in the CIS, is negotiating the launch of sales in Turkmenistan. This was reported by the online newspaper Zolotoy Vek with reference to the words of the company's press secretary Kristina Topalova, who is taking part in the international exhibition “Türkmentel-2024”, which opened today in Ashgabat.

According to the company representative, the platform's assortment includes more than 370 million products of various categories. At the moment, “Ozon” operates in ten countries and considers Turkmenistan as a promising market for expansion.

The exhibition “Türkmentel 2024”, held for the 17th time, brought together dozens of foreign and local companies in the field of telecommunications, telemetry and information technology. The event is held as part of the implementation of the “Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025”.

The forum demonstrates Turkmenistan’s commitment to the “open door” policy and its desire to develop a modern digital Silk Road connecting East and West.
