Malaysian Parliament Speaker Expresses Interest in Visiting Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Malaysia Muhammetniyaz Mashalov met with Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament Tan Sri Dato Johari Abdul on Thursday. During the meeting, Tan Sri Dato Johari Abdul expressed interest in visiting Turkmenistan this year, according to the press release issued by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia.

The Ambassador, in turn, emphasized that the upcoming visits will contribute to strengthening parliamentary relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, it was also noted that cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries plays an important role in ensuring effective relations, international cooperation and strengthening mutual understanding.

On August 15 this year, Muhammetniyaz Mashalov, who is also the Turkmen Ambassador to Cambodia, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Tuot Panha held a meeting, during which they emphasized the importance of high-level visits between the countries.
