Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Turkmenistan, Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin, in Ashgabat on Wednesday. During the meeting, Ambassador Tajuddin presented his credentials to Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the official Turkmen media reports.
During the meeting, Ambassador Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin conveyed warm greetings from Malaysian Supreme Ruler Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa and Prime Minister Anwar bin Ibrahim to the Turkmen head of state. The Malaysian representatives emphasised the significance of enhancing the bonds of friendship and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between Malaysia and Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen President expressed his best wishes to Malaysia's top leadership and congratulated Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin on his appointment to a responsible diplomatic post.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the successful development of friendly ties and the consistent strengthening of political mutual trust between Turkmenistan and Malaysia. The Head of State praised the support and close cooperation of the two countries within the framework of international organisations such as the UN, Non-Aligned Movement, OIC and others.
During the discussion of the current state and prospects for developing the Turkmen-Malaysian partnership, both sides noted broad opportunities for further expansion in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.
The Malaysian ambassador expressed a firm commitment to exerting every possible effort to enhance the current interstate relations, emphasising that these relations fully align with the mutual interests of both countries.
