Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal officially announced the end of his professional career after losing in the quarterfinals of the Davis Cup, where the Spanish team lost to the Netherlands.

“No one is going to like it when it gets to this point. I'm not tired of playing tennis. My body doesn’t want to play tennis anymore", - the 38-year-old said in his farewell speech.

During his illustrious career, Nadal won 22 Grand Slam titles, became a two-time Olympic champion and won 92 singles titles. Particularly noteworthy was his achievements at the French Open, where he achieved a record 14 victories. The Spaniard also topped the ATP rankings for a total of 209 weeks.
