The State Music and Drama Theater of Lebap velayat named after S. Seydi was awarded a special prize, diploma and cup of the VI International Theater Festival “Aitmatov and Theater”, which was held in Bishkek from December 7 to 12.
Theater actress Ogulshat Jumayeva received a special award from the festival organizers for the best image of a boy, embodied by her in the play “The White Ship”, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
Let us remind that on December 10, within the framework of the festival, the creative team of the Turkmen theater from Lebap presented on the stage of Bishkek a performance based on the play by Chingiz Aitmatov “The White Ship” directed by Perhat Hudayberenov. The performance was shown at the National Academic Drama Theater of Kyrgyzstan.
The international theater festival “Aitmatov and Theater” is held once every five years. This year it was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the writer Chingiz Aitmatov.
